Day 6 - Clean Slate
If you, Lord, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand? But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you. - Psalm 130:3–4
With our Savior Jesus, we receive a clean slate when we bring our sin to the cross. God placed our sin on his Son for our salvation. When our sin is exposed, we are at the mercy of almighty God. However, our King Jesus extends a full pardon to all who believe. By faith, we can grasp onto his grace and strength whenever we feel helpless. Forgiveness is what our heavenly Father desires most to give us. He is ready to forgive in an instant.
So go to God with your guilt and leave your lust and lies with him. Invite the grace of God to govern your actions and attitudes. Freed people free others to enjoy the fruits of forgiveness. Since Christ has given you a clean slate, you can extend a clean slate to those who have slighted you. Ask God to wipe your life clean of sin with his grace and watch him, by faith, paint a beautiful canvas of forgiveness and love. You can start over because your Savior Jesus believes in second chances.
Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. - Colossians 3:13
Lord, I am grateful for your forgiveness, which keeps no record of sins. Help me to extend this grace to others as you have shown to me. Let your mercy transform my heart and foster love and reconciliation in all my relationships. May your forgiveness flow through me. Amen.
