Day 2 - Blameless Behavior

Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the Lord. - Psalm 119:1

Christians aspire to a higher standard of behavior, as outlined in Holy Scripture. We are called to an adventurous commitment to Christ’s life that will transform us from the inside out. When we live in Christ, we reject sinful behavior and run after righteousness. Being blameless does not mean we are always perfect, but it does mean we strive to imitate God.

It means that in our struggles, people see us cling to Christ our Savior. Blamelessness is a pattern of living that is quick to confess sin and, by God’s grace, produces fruit that remains. To be blameless, a Christian must have a heightened awareness of the Almighty’s attributes of holiness and love. Above all, blameless behavior begins and ends with walking according to the law of the Lord. Resolve to follow the path of righteousness that leads to rewards on earth and in heaven.

“I have been blameless before him and have kept myself from sin.” - 2 samuel 22:24

Lord, empower me to live a blameless life before you. Strengthen my resolve to walk in integrity and righteousness. Guard my heart and mind from sin and lead me in your paths of righteousness. May my life bring glory to your name and reflect your holiness and grace. Amen.
