Day 1 - Culture of Faith

“Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve... But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” - Joshua 24:15

Is there enough evidence in your home to convict you of being a man of Jesus Christ? God gives us a choice: to center our homes around faith or around a facade. Indeed, your ministry begins at home. What happens behind the closed doors of your home? Is it filled with faith and love for God? When your faith is alive at home, you can then live it out in other places too. It all begins at home.

This does not mean you are without problems, conflicts, and challenges at home. On the contrary, when your faith sustains you through family difficulties, it becomes a compelling reason for others to follow Christ. As the spiritual leader of your home, you may ask, How am I to lead? Perhaps you read a chapter in Proverbs over dinner or pray with your spouse. You could abstain from media for thirty minutes before bed to discuss God’s Word before praying for one another. Teach your children to pray for the sick, the lost, and the hurting. Model for your family the joy of giving and serving and seek daily to facilitate faith in your home.

“Give us each day our daily bread.” - Luke 11:3

Lord, bless my home with a culture of faith. Help me prioritize you in all I do and to center my life on your Word and your presence. May love, grace, and forgiveness abound, nurturing strong relationships and deepening my walk with you. Let my home be a beacon of your light. Amen.
